Job Title: Azure Architect

Experience: 10+ years

Location: Pittsburgh, PA

Employment Type: Full-time / Contract

Role Overview:

Lead the end‑to‑end design, deployment, and automation of enterprise‑scale Azure environments. You’ll build subscriptions from scratch, structure management groups, enforce policies, and align architecture with business goals. You act as both hands‑on expert and strategic advisor, guiding migrations, governance, security, networking, and cost optimization.

Required Skills:

• Expert-Level Azure Knowledge: Deep expertise in Azure core and advanced services.
• Experienced with Azure governance, policy enforcement, and enterprise-grade management groups.
• Infrastructure-as-Code Automation Mindset.
• Networking & Security: Confident in designing secure networks and identity management practices.
• Cloud-Native Practices: Familiar with modern DevOps and serverless/cloud-native applications.
• Hands-On Leadership

Responsibilities: (including but not limited to):

• Managing core Azure services: VMs, App Services, Networking (VNets, NSGs, ExpressRoute), Storage, and Identity (including Managed Identities).
• Building governance using Azure Policy, Management Groups, and aligning to Microsoft’s Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF).
• Designing secure and scalable solutions with containers (AKS, ACI), Functions, Logic Apps, and hybrid environments (Azure Arc).
• Owning identity and access strategies (RBAC, Conditional Access, MFA — Britive knowledge is a big plus!).
• Automating infrastructure using IaC tools preferred - Terraform.
• Working with ARM templates, GitHub Actions, and Azure DevOps to automate deployments and CI/CD.
• Working knowledge of networking concepts (DNS, IP, NSG, Load Balancer, Private Link).
• Implementing observability and alerting using Azure Monitor or tools like OpsRamp.
• Planning and supporting Disaster Recovery (DR) and High Availability (HA) strategies.
• Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) in production environments.
