About Us:

Fleur’s is a soon-to-open upscale casual French restaurant focused on thoughtful cooking, a respectful team culture, and high standards across every part of the operation. Our bar program supports our culinary offerings, and we're looking for a dedicated Barback to be the backbone of our bar operations and support our Bartenders.

Job Summary:

We’re seeking a motivated, energetic and reliable Barback to provide essential support to our Bartenders and ensure smooth operation of the bar. This role is crucial for maintaining inventory, cleanliness, and efficiency behind the bar. The Barback is the mobile member of the bar team while the Bartenders remain planted to focus on crafting exceptional drinks and providing excellent guest service.

Responsibilities:

• Stock and restock all bar supplies, including liquor, beer, wine, ice, glassware, and garnishes
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including wiping down surfaces, sweeping, mopping, and taking out trash throughout service.
• Wash and polish glassware throughout service
• Change kegs and ensure proper functionality of tap lines
• Prepare juices, syrups, and garnishes as needed
• Assist with receiving and organizing bar inventory deliveries
• Support Bartenders with any tasks to ensure efficient service
• Communicate effectively with Bartenders and other front-of-house team members
• Anticipate bar needs and proactively replenish supplies
• Adhere to all sanitation and safety procedures

Qualifications:

• Prior experience as a Barback or in a similar support role in a restaurant or bar is preferred
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage physical tasks
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items regularly (e.g., cases of liquor, kegs) and stand for long periods
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn
• A team player with a proactive and helpful approach
• Punctual and dependable
• Basic knowledge of spirits, beer, and wine is a plus, but not required
