The Supply Chain Manager/ Procurement Manager oversees the planning, execution, and supervision of all procurement activities related to raw materials, packaging, equipment, and other essential goods and services required for the food manufacturing industry. This role involves developing and implementing sourcing strategies, leading a team of buyers, negotiating supplier agreements, ensuring timely material deliveries, and continuously improving procurement processes to enhance cost efficiency and operational effectiveness.

Education and Certifications required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field
  • 7 years of progressive experience in purchasing and procurement, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Certifications in supply chain management (e.g., CPP, CPM, CPSM, CSCP)

KNOWLEDGE | SKILLS | ABILITIES

  • Leadership & Management: Proven experience leading and managing a purchasing team.
  • Purchasing Expertise: Strong knowledge of purchasing principles, contract negotiation, supplier management, and international sourcing.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with ERP systems and purchasing software.
  • Core Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Personal Attributes: Strong attention to detail, accuracy, sound judgment, positive attitude, and exceptional teamwork skills. Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).

COMPUTER SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
  • ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) Systems
  • Purchasing Software/eProcurement Platforms
  • Supply Chain Management (SCM) Software
