Job Description

Position Summary :

We seek a friendly, detail-oriented Senior Manager of Partnerships and Projects, with a preference for experience in public health consulting or applied research. This role manages workflows and teams involved in client delivery and business development, coordinating project work plans, tracking deliverables and budgets, and managing client relationships. You will lead various proposal development efforts while working closely with technical staff and leadership. This is a cross-functional role with opportunities to shape client work, improve internal systems, manage clients and/or teams, and support firm growth.

About the Position

Project Management & Coordination

  • Lead project management for public health consulting and evaluation projects
  • Develop and lead project work plans, deliverable tracking, and client communications/meetings
  • Track progress against deliverables and budgets; flag risks and help identify mitigation strategies
  • Develop and review scopes of work, progress reports, and other client-facing deliverables
  • Proposal Development & Coordination
  • Lead coordination and submission of competitive and noncompetitive proposals, including RFP/RFQ responses and LOIs for public health and social sector clients
  • Manage, draft, and edit proposal plans and content
  • Demonstrated experience crafting data sharing agreements, contracts, MOUs (and familiarity with IRB (Human Subjects) requirements)
  • Collaborate with technical leads to align proposal narrative with client needs and firm capabilities
  • Manage production and packaging (including budgets, appendices, and forms) for on-time and compliant submissions
  • Maintain library of proposal assets, templates, and past proposals; implement version control and continuous improvement

Applied experience with research or evaluation projects

  • Manage content development and synthesis for projects related to maternal health, health equity, prevention programs, community-based health initiatives, or health systems strengthening
  • Manage stakeholder and partner engagement
  • Conduct/manage secondary research, literature reviews, and compiling public data
  • Familiarity with implementation or analysis of large-scale surveys
  • Experience you bring to our team
  • Masters-level (or higher) training in social science or public health field (e.g., sociology, education, economics, psychology, public health).
  • At least 10 years of professional experience in a position with significant technical consulting, business development, or project management duties
  • Demonstrated experience with proposal / grants development
  • Proven track record with project management (preferred: PMP certification)
  • Broad experience in scientific consulting to clients and partners. Preferred: experience with strategic consulting or planning.
  • History of excellent written materials and experience communicating with a variety of audiences

Compensation

Starting salary is $115k-140k/year (based on experience) with annual cost of living adjustments and bonuses based on company performance. Our benefits package includes vacation, holidays, flex work benefits, health benefit options, 401k with profit sharing plan, and company-paid access to the on-site gym.

Work Location

We are a remote-first company with downtown offices available for those that live in Austin TX. Our team mostly works remotely, with Austin staff gathering a few times each month to collaborate. Local staff are provided with high-end ergonomic sit/stand workstations and can choose to work in-office more frequently as desired. Our modern offices include a fitness center with showers for walking/running/biking to work. This role may require occasional travel to client site meetings; and staff who do not live in the Austin area can expect to travel for team planning meetings 1-2 times a year.
