Corporate Communications Lead

Reports To: Director, HR & Safety

Location: Culloden, WV (On-Site; No remote work available)

Position Summary:

The Corporate Communications Lead will develop, circulate, execute and lead corporate communication. Developing internal communication strategies, platforms and applications and then optimizing based upon performance will be core tasks. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a passion for employee engagement, effective communication and innovative promotional initiatives that align with the overall business strategy. The position involves writing and publishing various forms of media on a daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly basis that align with the overall strategy.

Campaigns will be executed across a variety of channels including digital signage, newsletters, social media and print materials. Please be prepared to furnish samples of writing within the interview process.

Tasks/Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop internal communication plan and calendar for recruitment of candidates for open positions, engagement with existing employees and safety initiatives
  • Develop safety and operation discussion plans and craft ongoing plans of action for communications
  • Oversee and execute internal marketing campaigns across a variety of mediums to promote recruiting, benefits and other HR-related efforts
  • Craft various company messaging and ensure clear and communication to various audiences
  • Analyze data on campaign performance and continually make suggestions on how to drive awareness, understanding and engagement across diverse audiences
  • Collaborate with various departments and enhance relations between company and team members, community partners and suppliers to optimize communication and ensure alignment with overall business strategy
  • Maintain digital signage, intranet, print newsletters and digital marketing for various audiences
  • Prepare well-structured drafts using digital publishing platforms
  • Edit and proofread written pieces before publication
  • Provide regular updates regarding concurrent marketing projects and collaborate within a variety of departments and with outside vendors to accomplish goals
  • Additional duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s in Marketing, Business, English, Communications, Journalism or relevant field required
  • 2+ years of communications, business marketing, public relations experience or equivalent experience preferred
  • Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems and familiarity with SEO and social media marketing strategies
  • Expertise with Microsoft office products and related computer applications
  • Excellent writing and editing skills in English required; Spanish fluency a plus
  • Proven organizational skills, experience with project management applications
  • Effectively demonstrates time management, attention to detail and prioritization of tasks
  • Cooperatively work and interact with internal customers and coordinate efforts across a variety of departments
  • Strong self-management abilities and creative thinking skills
  • Business acumen to understand terms utilized throughout the business
  • Ability to fact-check and grammar-check long-form content pieces
